semester comes to the end…

Saying about students of Amaty: they are very happy ! with celebrations of all holidays of Kazakhstan and with passing all final exams we can go home and be with our parents, friend, etc. As for our group it is really cool that after all exams we will go home!

Winter started with snow and good mood!

Celebrations of holiday started with Independance day of Kazakhstan! our country celebrates 16 years! Next holiday is muslim’s holiday “Kurban Ait”. It is sant holiday for all Islam people. Of course there are a lot of another celebrations like The day against AID, etc. I think the most expected holiday is New Year!!! the feeling of coming New 2008 year is very unusual. For me it is like a new white page in your life where you can do everything and all depend on you!

In new year our group wish to all of you health, happiness, big love and harmony!!! Good luck and success at work, in studying!!! Excelent grades and good job!!!

Thanks to all group and Frederick for this course and see you in the next YEAR!!!!

Ice Skating!

I want to say that the new season of Ice Skating is open! Skating rink “Medeo” is glad to invite everyone who is interested in this exciting winter’s sport! So even if you don’t know how to conrol over skates, pick up your friends and have a good time in the mountains! I have tried it 2 days ago and I would like to recomend you to go there))))!

Miss KIMEP 2008

On the 15th of november the Great hall held attention of all KIMEP community by one of the greatest event “Miss KIMEP 2008″. Festival started at 7 pm and finished at 11 pm. 12 beautiful girls were competing for the crown and the title of “Miss KIMEP”. While respected judges were evaluating perfomance. By the way it was not the easiest worrk as all girls were deserving of victory. All festival was cinsisted of different competitions. For example, defeile in swimsuit, defile which was organized by one fashion agent, creative ability of participaints, dance perfomance and interview. In the cocert also took part famouse singers of Kazakhstan’s platform, like “the group 101″, “Daimond”,”West side” etc. The battle athmosphere were decked out with the help of KIMEP’s KVN group. The leader of a concert was well-known Alan Cherkassov. All girls performed good turn. Fainaly, the title of Miss KIMEP 2008 got Alua. She had very good perfomance. First Vice Miss KIMEP became Meruert, she was also”Miss Grase” and “Miss Bobo’s” winner. The name ofSecond Vice Miss KIMEP- Valeriya. All judiciary appreciated annual festival at its true value. Among judice were Nagima Eskalieva, sponsors and Kz’s showbusiness stars. After rewarding ceremony students went to the after party, which was in one of the famouse Almaty’s clubs. It is significant to mention that all festival was organized by SIFE. Thet made excellent work.

Racketeer movie

This movie is the one which is produced in Kazakhstan. Film director contributed all his money to this movie to make his dream come true. I can easily say that it reflected real life episodes. Language (mostly informal slang), people’s actions, places (mostly Almaty districts)- all of these features made this movie close-to-heart. People at the cinema were glad to see familiar streets, familiar places and cafes and to see “our people” faces. This movie was promoted a lot, and what is expected, from the first day gathered full cinema halls. Racketeers are everywhere around Kazakhstan, you can meet them anywhere starting from schools to markets. This issue is really close to our people, this is something we see everyday and face with. It is not an American movie (though we like them a lot J ), with English language, American places and phrases, it is something ours, NATIVE. Though movie seemed like it didn’t have ending, people were enjoying it. Plot was not finished but people are waiting for second part. Good News!!!!!!!!! Our national team of footbal have won on the foreigner field. I suppose that it is very good step for our fotball players in playing on Europe level however the won team was not one of the best footbal players in the World.

Starting from the first minutes of the match armenian football players took initiative in their hands. Losing ball frequently there were a lot of dangerous moment near the gates of our national team. During all first time our team could not create any dangerous moments near their rivals’ gates however armenians had a lot of such moments but couldn’t realize them.

On the second time the situation has not changed. The field masters continued to attack our football players. On the 64th minute taking on the left flank Ostapenko have kicked the only goal in this game. After this excellent goal armeniam were tried to stabilize the situation on the field but it was useless.

Almaty road junction

On the 24th of November in Almaty the tenth flyover were put into operation. It is situated on the crossing of Al-Farabi av. – Dostyk. On the openning ceremony the akim of our city, Imangali Tasmagambetov were participated. According to him in this year government were planning to open 12 flyovers but because of some problems the plan will not be fully done. “We will try to open the last two road junctions on March of the next year”.

The road junction Al-Farabi – Dostyk is constructed in two levels. Length of the tunnel which is passing on Al-Farabi under Dostyk avenue, is 395 meters, length of the bridge through Al-Farabi is 67 meters. After the object delivery the passing capacity on this road will increase from 80 thousand up to 200 thousand cars per day.

Royal Commencement!

August, September, October… Freshmen were waiting for this moment 3 months!!! and finally it happened!!!
         On the 18th of November in the big and great BAKHCHISARAI Palace was this event! Commencement is one of the geatest and most grand event of the year at KIMEP!!!
This event for freshmen and on this party they became really students of our university!!!
Time is 20:00 o’clock: Live Music with classic program met all guests, administration of KIMEP,etc. Show program with a famous presenter Alan Cherkassov was began at 10 o’clock. All performance was in Royal Style. Then was a dance from organizers of commencent- KIMEP Student Government! they danced Walts and then congratuleted all freshmen. This event as all was not without Stars! So, The famoust boys-band “RINGO” song their songs and really exist all people!! then, according to the program was competitions, DJ’s sessions( there wer DJ Ka4, DJ TRX and DJ Soul_Furic:)) Alan was insoired by public, because it really was perfect! Singers Ashamatai and Shamsi also made their work very well!
Boys in official tail-coat, girls in beutiful dresses!!Many special effects on the stage: firework, arifficial snow, confetti, many-many colourful baloons which were everywhere and made an atmosphere of FAIRY_TALE! Majority of KIMEP student Organozations present themselves to 1st year students: KISA with International students, SIFE with girls from MISS KIMEP, KrakZone with their dances and songs,etc. They really were a big part of program! Alan joked and braced a public and do everything for perfect realization of that event!    Fotosessions, Mass Media of Almaty, Sponsors- all were there and liked it! what about the end of the party? The sweetest part of the program was performance from boys-band “ALL Davay”. Girls were very excited and with grand songs form All Davai show finished!!!! DJ’s continued their work and all people danced!
I want to say that it was really the biggest event of the year! as an organizer of Commencement i want to say again that we as Student Government did everything and tried to do our best for perfect realization of this PROJECT!!!!
               Freshmen, CONGRATULATIONS again to all of YOU!!!!!

Asian Olympic Games 2011

As you know the right of helding Asian Olympic games of 2011 has won our south capital. But recently Government of our republic had dseire to held this games in two sities of our country. They made a request to the organizational commity of Asian Olympics Games and last one, in its turn, have agreed.

The result of this, the VII Olympic Games will be held in Almaty and Astana. This decission was taken on the commity summit in Makao. The open and closing ceremony will be in Astana, also some competitions generally on ice. The other games wiil be held in Almaty.

Asian Olympic games will be held approximetly since Janury 30th till 6th of February. Common budget will be more than 1 billion of US dollars.

KAZAKHSTAN-PORTUGAL 1:2

On the 17th of october Kazakhstan National Football team received Portugal National Football team. This game was held on the central stadium of Almaty. For Kazakhstan football fans it was the “the sold out notice”, first of all because Portugueses are the “elite of the world football” and secondly they are very strong in football playing and are sophisticated in the participating such comoetitions.

On this day the stadium was full or even over-crowded, everyone wanted to see the football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Maniche, Paulo Ferreira. I think people were coming on this match just to watch on the Portugal footbal players, of course they even were not stoped by the Russian footbal match with England. In the game playing day, tickets were sold by the incredible prices. They were ritched the point of 12 thousands tenge.

The match ended with the 1:2 score. The first ball were kicked by Ariza Makukula on the 84th minute the second goal was also scored by Portugueses, on this time by Cristiano Ronaldo, the favourite football player of the millions people in the world. And…… When the last hope left our fans……. The final touches in this match were put by Dmitriy Byakov. This goal was kicked on the last added minute (referee added five minutes).

On the 17th of October on the Almaty Central Stadium our National Football Team had played not bad. May be it was the first time when we are not ashamed for the losing game. Though I think now when we are playing on the Europe level we will have the chance to see the couple of those matches with the well – known countries on the world football arena.

Mongol movie: legend vs reality

“Mongol” is the movie which had a great advertising campaign around. All billboards of Almaty were shouting about “Mongol movie coming soon.” Sure, people were talking about it one month in advance. Talking about my personal opinion, I can say that I wasn’t impressed by the context of the movie but the way it was made, scale of the film proved that we might have bright future in film-making. The only thing I noticed is the small film producers mistakes, such as the girl never growing etc, but as I suppose all of this is not the core moments of the movie and the main highlight is on the scale of it.

Film is based on historical books and legends which are remained about Ghengiz khan. They might seem interesting but at some moments you can feel that it has unreal episodes. Still, it is a beautiful legend. Legend which is tightly tied with the reality. Check it out.

If you feel that movie doesn’t have an ending, don’t worry, it is just the first part of the whole story. To be continued….
